+1. For its benefits, I believe it's overpowered, and not just in niche cases like with the wartroll.

Yeah, cheap CRs are why the DM always wins a battle of escalation. :p

James - What glass is saying is that regeneration by definition must have some way of bypassing it.

javcs - The resolution to glass's statement and the tarrasque entry is that the tarrasque has a special ability which is identical to regeneration that is also called regeneration, but is NOT actually regeneration in the sense called out in the general rules. In other words, the tarrasque gets to break the rules because of its iconic status as an ultimate pre-epic monster.

It says 'Certain attack forms, typically fire and acid, deal lethal damage to the creature, which doesn’t go away'. Not might possibly deal lethal damage, but do deal lethal damage. It isn't strongly worded, which is why I just said it was one possible way of looking at it, but it certainly at least implies that if you don't have some way to bypass it then you don't have regeneration.

glass.
The null set is a proper subset of the set of attack forms.

True. I never said it was wrong to read 'certain attack forms' as 'zero or more attack forms'; just that I prefer to read it as 'one or more attack forms'.
