Proof (to me) that En-World is the cornerstone of the RPG Internet.

John,
I know I wouldn't know squat about your products if you weren't here. I finally picked up Valley of Frozen Tears and Dryden at Halloween.

I like Valley. Good stuff in there. Not sure how I will drop it in my current campaign yet. I don't use Orcs so I need to adjust a little here and there, but it is cool. I haven't had time to really rake Dryden over the coals to see what I will use it for yet. But judging by Valley, I am sure it is pretty good.

We barely use any other site to advertise for our products, other than those that we sell on. If someone is looking for d20 stuff -- which is all that we have produced so far -- they're coming here. Having just one site for attracting all of your customers is a real asset, let me tell you.

ENWorld's strength is d20 and pdfs, while rpg.net's is all the other RPGs. There is some overlap, but that's how it plays out.

rpg.net's Roleplaying Open forum is great for discussion of non-d20 games. If you want to learn about anything from a mainstream game (as mainstream as the industry gets) down to a quirky small-press game, somebody there has probably played it and could at least offer an opinion.

Within the last two weeks, the small-press RPG game Riddle of Steel was mentioned as the subject both here and at rpg.net. Compare ENWorld's result with rpg.net's result. The result would likely be inverted if one were to post a query about any d20 product. Hence, both are great at what they do. :)

I play and enjoy a lot of non-d20 games... how can we promote more diverse discussions and interests here at ENworld? I can't stand the jerks who are running rpg.net, and so I'd really like a new place to discuss everything from Jadeclaw to Castle Falkenstein, Shadowrun to Earthdawn.

But the point is, without En-World, would we sell even a small percentage of the PDF products we have?
I'd have no doubt that you wouldn't. And I would be very surprised if anyone disputed that.

d20 PDF? ENWorld.

It's have to be an evolution thing. I've no vested interest in persuading people to talk about other subjects, but if enough people do talk about them, I'll provide a place for it.

Post it and they will come :D

We have a lot of people who play non d20 games, but few actually start a thread on it. Pick a game and start a thread and hopefully people will respond.

Oh such a wonderful theory that fails in practice. I've tried a few times to get people to chime in on non d20 games and more times than not I get perhaps 1 to 3 replies and that's all. If I am lucky I get 3 replies.

I can take the same topic to rpg.net and get perhaps 40 replies which is why I stopped talking about non d20 stuff here.

That's odd, I had 4 pages in my ARs Magica thread and My Paranaio thread is off to a good start as well. The Harp thread is going strong after a few weeks and the more gerneal Buffy RPG threads seem to do good but we haven't had one of those in a few months.
