Psychic Warrior / Warforged Juggernaut

Two prong question….

Can a capped Warforged Juggernaut be affected by Psionics as they are immune to mind affecting spells and abilities in a campaign where Magic and Psionis are considered the same (In terms of SR and things of that nature)?

And…

Can Psychic Warrior / Warforged Juggernaut be affected by their own psionic manifestations under the conditions stated above?

I am going to assume that both questions are a “Yes”, as it would put a very annoying limiting factor to the race in a Campaign setting that has completely embraced Psionics. But I will still put that out there…. :\

Anything immune to mind effecting spells is immune to mind effecting psionics, transparency or no. However, not all psionics are labled as Mind effecting. See the specific power for details.

So, given the statement above, they can't effect themselves with mind effecting powers, but not all self powers are mind effecting.

However, on a side note, it seems a contridiction in concepts to be a Psychic Warrior/Warforged Juggernaut. The Psycic Warrior embraces his inner power and being, while a Warforged Juggernaut becomes more machine like and gives up a bit if his inner self. Technicaly legal, but I don't think I would allow it as a GM without a very good backstory.

I'm waiting for a thousand players to pop up and yell their mantra, "You can't balance out power with RP effects!" Thus implying that RP effects should have no bearing on a game. :uhoh:

I'd rather bend the rules for a good RP effect than do something purely for the game mechanics with no real RP effect.

Besides, expecialy with so many books out there, you sometimes have to say "Yes, these 'technicaly' work togeather, but you haven't told me why your character would be able to do X and Y within the story", or simply say "No".

Ultimately, it's supposed to be fun for everyone. And that's why just about every game will be different. Does make it fun to discuss and debate though.

I don't disagree; I'm just poking fun at certain people. :)
