• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

Publishers, what are you up to?

Silverthorne Games will be at the con, visiting at the Goodman Games booth this year in support of the release of Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition, signing copies and being very friendly. Note that this is the 3.5-compatible version of BoTDE, which has been turned into a glorious hardbound edition by the Goodman Games crew. A PDF version should also be available shortly after Gen Con, too.

What am I up to? Taking a nap once the Wilderlands Boxed Set comes out :) I need a rest...

Clark,

Will the Wilderlands Boxed Set (WBS) be out by Gen Con? If so, consider a copy sold! If not, consider a copy sold - but later on... :)

Well, seeing as he isn't back I'll risk the demon lord's wrath and give you the answer.

We will have copies at GenCon I don't know how many copies though. If you want to pick up at the con I would suggest getting it Thursday. The official release date is sometime in September.

Sounds good to me. I'll swing by the White Wolf/Necromancer booth early, then. Thanks for the 411! :)

Goodman Games has a boatload of new releases -- almost literally! Our two new card games World Championship Dodge Ball and Scavenger Hunt are both sailing across the ocean as I type this, and we'll have advance copies at the con.

Our main event, though, is the Second Annual Dungeon Crawl Classics Open Tournament. We have 100 people signed up and, based on the number of requests for additional pickup games, we'll probably end up with a lot more than that! In addition to the tournament itself, new DCC releases include:
  • #0: Legends are Made, not Born (store edition)
  • #2: Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho (3.5 edition)
  • #12.5: The Iron Crypt of the Heretics (advance copies of October release)
  • #19: The Volcano Caves
  • #20: Shadows in Freeport
  • #21: Assault on Stormbringer Castle
  • #20.5: hmmm, wonder what this could be? you'll have to be there to find out....

In addition to those we have a veritable potpourri of entertaining d20 releases:
  • Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition, which Ian already mentioned, and which looks AWESOME -- fully sculpted cover art!
  • Power Gamer's 3.5 Wizard Strategy Guide -- the wait is finally over!
  • Iron Heroes: Song of the Blade, the first published adventure for Monte Cook Presents: Iron Heroes
  • Blackmoor: The Wizards Cabal, the perfect complement to our 60+ Blackmoor MMRPG events
  • DragonMech: The Last City, the next expansion for the world of medieval fantasy mechs

And a few other recent releases, like the Demon Hunter's Handbook.

Whew. I think that's it. Did I forget anything?
