Back at Ronin, all the owners were supposed to take color coded names as our e-mail addresses.

Heh. Come to think of it (pessimist that I am), that would be useful in a small company with woefully high turnover. Never have to worry that the head of sales' email address is going to bounce back. Just give the new guy the same laptop and call him Mr. Green.

For example, a company name that everyone pronounced the same way.

Nah...you're just keeping the whole Prah-mass/Pray-mass/Pray-Miss/Pruhmuss thing going, but with the company name, right?

Roe-ninn, Roe-neen, Ron-in, Ron-een....see, it's fun!

Of course, I considered going with "The The Games", but would people have then just referred to it as "The Games?"

*shrug*

~The Le

I still say go with "Tay Lee Games." :)

Oddly enough, that's pretty close to how it should be pronounced in Japanese:

Since I don't have a sound card on this machine, I'm assuming "Roe-NEEN" is the correct pronunciation? I've tried to pronounce it as per Chris P. after one of his Mortality interviews, but after pronouncing it "ROE-nin" for 20 years it still sounds wrong to use the correct pronunciation. :)

I'm Canadian with a strong French education, so The Le Games *looks* like

Thuh Luh Games - or as The Le pointed out - The The Games in Frenglish.

In fact, about ten minutes ago, I was talking with my wife about an email I just got from The Le, and I was musing about how I didn't know what his name actually is - and only now do I realize the silliness of that.

E.N. Publishing is named after... well... two words, one starting with E and the other with N. And surprisingly, it's not Mr Noah's name. In fact, if anyone (who isn't directly associated with ENP) can guess what the letters -do- stand for, I'll throw them a pile of free stuff to keep their mouths shut.*

We chose it for the obvious reason of the marketing power behind the EN Brand - since we had to have a new name to handle the change from two independent publishers (Ambient Inc. and Natural 20 Press), we had the advantage of already having been in the market for some time.

* - One guess per person, this is not an official contest, but I will still send you stuff if you guess right on the first try. No purchase necessary. Some names not for use with some games. Your parents put it together.

My guess:
