Pulp Adventures needed?

Is there any pulp (1920-30 era) adventure modules? I would like to start Adventure! D20 campaign and I prefer premade adventures.

Well it's not "Pre Made" exactly, but you can turn to the old Doc Savage novels. You can find most of them on Black Mask dot com, I think.

This is where I get alot of the ideas for my own pulp game. Doc Savage novels are quick-reading and usually pretty simply laid out, and Doc travels with a group of people who are pulp heroes in their own right, so they're pretty easy to translate into game adventures for multiple individuals.

I don't know how available it is these days, but few adventures say pulp like the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign for Call of Cthulhu. If you use Adventure!d20 rules, which I imagine are more suited to two-fisted action than CoC ever was, the tone of the campaign would change, but the action would be much more fun.

The straight-out sorcery and creatures from beyond would not fit in the Adventure! default setting, though. But in return, you get a world-spanning conspiracy, which would take players around the world to locations that you would associate with Doctor Indiana Jones like New York, London, Cairo, Kenya, and Shanghai. And the villians are as dastardly as one could hope.

And I can't plug this enough... Lester Dent, the author of Doc Savage, wrote a great 'master plot template' for pulp stories. Works phenomenally well for stories and very well for pulp adventure development. The 30's-era lingo is worth the read:

Which ironically enough is the subject of a relevant thread...

Well, if you can wait a little less than a month, Adamant Entertainment will be releasing a line of Pulp products for D20 Modern, called Thrilling Tales, including A Gamemaster's Guide to Pulp Adventure:

...which will include an adventure construction kit.

Sorry for the shameless plug, but it did seem perfect for your needs, and I couldn't resist. :D

Dire animals or normal animals from the MM or d20 modern books would work for creatures. Dinosaurs for a Lost World type game.

Undead might be cool for a horror type game too or Demons for an Occult game.

For ideas the library is a good idea too for issues like the Spanish Civil War, the rise of the Nazis, the Italians in Ethopia or the British Empire.

The GURPS pulp book has a short adventure in it as does the Polyhedron Magazine with the short Pulp game.

See what type of game your players want and then tailor it to them. Maybe they want a gangster type game. Then you can go watch the Untouchables for ideas :)
