And I can't plug this enough... Lester Dent, the author of Doc Savage, wrote a great 'master plot template' for pulp stories. Works phenomenally well for stories and very well for pulp adventure development. If you use Adventure!d20 rules, which I imagine are more suited to two-fisted action than CoC ever was, the tone of the campaign would change, but the action would be much more fun.
