PVP/Penny Arcade 4E Podcast from WotC

Chris Perkins strikes me as unflappable. He's just awesome; his voice has this continual grinning quality to it, but he never falters. The ultimate friendly deadpan.

Seriously looking forward to the rest of the podcast. Once I knew they were being run through KotS (and I have the adventure) I eagerly waited to see if they hit the trap. LOL.
Now I can't wait to hear how they handle the rest of what's in store for them. Particularly the undead/rune room. OOOO.

I laughed when I heard them use 'aggro'.
That's what they're calling it most of the time now really. Didn't like it at first, used to it by now. Stupid name, but actually a good concept for a game.

Another good thing this podcast may do is demonstrate how to scale KotS. I get the feeling that, if there are still Goblins in that encounter with the pit and rats(as hinted at by the Perception checks), there wont be many of them.

I'm a big Penny-Arcade and PvP fan, so I really dug the podcast. Having listened to both PA's and Scott Kurtz's podcasts previously, I knew all the voices, but if this is your first listen, it might be a little weird discerning who is who. Especially since they don't do any sort of introduction.

There are alot of really subtle things that made me smile. When Chris uses some obscure word describing the scene, Tycho says, "oooh, I love this guy".

I also wonder if Chris is explaining somethings because it was recorded. Even though Mike is completely new, and Scott hasn't played in ages. I'd really like to see how this progresses.

I like these things and wish they would do more of them.

For DMs, it gives an idea of how to set a scene, keep pacing and keep the players interested in the game.

You'll notice that when the guys start to get too far off topic, Chris casually interrupts to get things back on track.

Yeah, I agree, they should do more of these.

I got a kick out of listening these guys. When's the next episode coming out? :)

It was amazing how the DM actually takes the DMG improvising hint that says

"Yes, and..."

when they sidetrack their adventure after refusing to go back to the town to get info!

that was AWESOME

More!

I agree that this was really great. For someone that is new to d&d who doesnt have the benefit of a great dm at my disposal, its great to hear both a good dm and inexperienced players asking the same questions I would. I can say I feel really good about buying these books now because of that podcast.

I know they are going to release more of the pvp/pa guys playing, but does anyone know if there is anything similar out there on the interwebs? A podcast of just some people who knew what they were doing playing would be great.
