I hadn't thought of that at all...

I'm looking at the PrC for two characters: one's a xeph swordsage, the other's a warblade/divine mind. The first two levels of pyro would totally rock for the swordsage: she's already got both Improved & Superior Unarmed Strike, and she already wanted to pick up the whip...

The fact that all the damage is Fire means it's not totally useful for PCs, but for evil minions... mua-ha-ha-ha!

The cleric in my campaign who was turned step by step into a fire-genasi took this prestige class... he had a simple solution for fire resistance: More fire damage

The class is nice but a little weak compared to the later published Dragonfire adept and Warlocks. Still, it has style.

I made up some feats to lower hostile energy resistance and to turn fire immunity later into a resistance... to allow that char to be useful at higher levels.
