Q. re: Hit Point recovery from sleep, magic items, checks, and feats

First Post
The following are 3.5 rules questions.

If my character (Druid) wants to wake up in the morning, cast all of his spells, and then rest for 8 hours, so he can wake up with his full regiment of spells. Is this possible?

What if he has lost hit points or ability score damage? If he “rested” for 8 hours twice in one day, would he gain back those hit points and ability score lost as if he slept two nights with light activity?

What if he has a ring of sustenance, where 2 hours of sleep is like 8 hours of sleep? What if someone performed a heal check successfully on him, would he gain the extra healing even if he was only being treated for 2 hours?

What if he has the ‘better healing feat’ (sorry, I forgot the name and I do not have my books with me) from the Masters of the Wild, and someone makes their heal check for long term care? Does the x1.5 and the x2 to hit point recovery = x3?

Thanks,

Ok, I'll give them anyway. From a quick look at the 3.5 SRD:

Time of Day: A divine spellcaster chooses and prepares spells ahead of time, just as a wizard does. However, a divine
spellcaster does not require a period of rest to prepare spells. Instead, the character chooses a particular part of the day to pray
and receive spells. The time is usually associated with some daily event. If some event prevents a character from praying at
the proper time, he must do so as soon as possible. If the character does not stop to pray for spells at the first opportunity, he must wait until the next day to prepare spells.

There is no rest period for divine casters (like druids), and if you miss your (single) chance to pray for spells each day, you have to wait 24 hours unless there are circumstances that force you to wait longer.

Also from the SRD, on your ability score recovery question:

Healing Ability Damage: Ability damage is temporary, just as hit point damage is. Ability damage returns at the rate of 1
point per night of rest (8 hours) for each affected ability score. Complete bed rest restores 2 points per day (24 hours) for each
affected ability score.

If you rest all day long, you only recover an extra point. There is no effect from adding together 8 hour periods.

Also, the ring of sust. has no benefit to divine casters except the normal one (less required sleep to avoid fatigue).
