Quest for a Dr. Who RPG?

Like your version better.

Thanks. :D

But the crystal thing seems to carry the feel of the show?

Seems Tom Bakerish/Douglas Adams era to me....Which a lot of the 10th Doctor material harkens back to. In fact, if you have access to the untelevised original version of Shada, Skagra would be a good villian, and with his Krargs, he already has a "living crystal technology" thing going.

You could also set the thing on Marinus (see the 1st Doctor story, The Keys of Marinus) and use Travel Dials to hop to various areas of this very diverse planet. The Voord as villians would be fun.

If your players only know the new series, I would consider members of the family Slitheen as villians, using stolen technology. I would also consider a quick trip to the Forest of Cheem because the trees in The End of the World were so darn cool.

If you don't mind, I would enjoy opening an email conversation with you about this.

I have access, I think, to much of the Dr. Who series because I work at a library. Someone was smart enough to request them for people to check out.
This is what I have for resource here at the library:
Androids of Tara
The Armageddon Factor
The Pirate Planet
The Power of Kroll
The Ribos Operation
The Robots of Death
The Stones of Blood

My players, I think, only know of the new series. Some of the people I know who might be able to play know more of it then just the new series. As you can tell I know of the new series and what I have read of the older series.
For those who are not too familiar with the series I don't want it to be too intimidating but still keep much of the same feel of the series.

Some good stuff there, but you have only a small fraction of what there is. There's a TV show website out there (forget the url) with almost all of the old material if you are interested.

OK, so you should cleave fairly close to what a player could reasonably know from watching the new series, while still trying to resonate with a sense of familiarity. Your primary villian should be capable of time travel (for multiple story time/locations). Let me give that some thought.

Cool, that's the entire Key to Time series (season 16), plus the Robots of Death (Season 14).

In broadcast order, that's:

The Robots of Death
The Ribos Operation
The Pirate Planet (Douglas Adams FTW!)
The Stones of Blood (Are there no Anglicans in England?!)
The Androids of Tara
The Power of Kroll
The Armageddon Factor

These are all Tom Baker episodes; he's an excellent doctor, the favorite of many. Do you have anything else?
