question about half-elf paladin/warlock

just want to inform u guys, according to wizard CS, i can take the same power twice from half-elf racial bonus and multi classing.

Interesting... do you have a link? I asked the Sage...

A: No, characters cannot take the same power twice. This is covered in the Powers section of the Player’s Handbook (p. 27)

Hmm ... does that then mean someone who multi-classes into warlock and then takes the paragon warlock multiclass option can't do the at-will swap to get the same power as their pact choice?

You'd have to basically retrain the feat to be a different pact, when you get to swap an at-will. [There is also the option of using the tiefling/warlock paragon feat that lets you pick a second pact, giving you both the at-will and the pact boon. It does not seem to have any restriction on multi-classing into warlock].

It is a weird anomaly with multiclassing and pact restrictions.
