Question about resizing weapons & armor?

Maybe I imagine it, but I seem to recall seeing either a weapon or armor magical enhancement that allowed the item in question to resize itself to suit its wielder/wearer. Can anyone tell me where I might find such enhancements and what their equivalent bonuses are?

SIZE AND MAGIC ITEMS
When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn’t be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items. There may be rare exceptions, especially with racial specific items.
Armor and Weapon Sizes: Armor and weapons that are found at random have a 30% chance of being Small (01–30), a 60% chance of being Medium (31–90), and a 10% chance of being any other size (91–100).

I just rule that all weapons and armor resize, at least within a size category. I don't want to cheat players out of magic items ("you find a +4 vorpal holy sword...size large. Tough luck using it, or finding someone to buy it."). It's not a big deal since nearly any effect that would change a character's size would effect the item as well anyways.

My in-game justification is that part of the enhancement bonus is the item matching the weilder's body; just as a custom-made sword to suit your proportions should be better than a generic one.

I don't worry about players using weapon resizing to "detect" magic items (e.g. picking up random looted weapons to see if they resize), since I'm running an Arcana Evolved game and most of the characters have the detect magic spell, and one character can detect magic at will.

FEADIN, if you bold the first phrase of your quote, you'll see that it doesn't apply to arms & armor. ;)

I play with resizing armor only.

It's not that big a deal. Lukelightning plays it that way, and I don't think there's a problem with it. I have less of a problem with weapons resizing than armor, but keep in mind that if you allow it then you have to change your pricing scheme. The reason for this is because it costs significantly more for Larger versions of armor and weapons, and no price break for Small. Similarly, it costs even more for non-humanoid versions of armor so if the heroes beat up a Salamander wearing half-plate, it will not be humanoid half-plate (thus costing more). It's not a whole lot of work to go through this hassle, but it may impact your game by allowing non-humanoid creatures and Large+ humanoid creatures significantly more treasure. If you have PCs that are Large or non-humanoid, the impact will be even more significant. There will be less of a downside to select such races.

Armor resizing within the catagory only makes since, although it really encourages only making mw. full plate, as resizing it by hand is a pain.

Armor that resizes to other size catagories is a problem when it comes to Dragon hide armor - which is highly size dependant. Otherwise people would be making tiny suits of halfplate and letting it resize to small. Using the CAdv someone could spend 3k+ on a sizing enchantment just to have halfplate instead of hide. That would be useful....

Since special materials do not have a price break for smaller sizes (although logicaly they should) It doesn't matter in other cases.

I like handing out large magic weapons or armor when appropriate - one party carried around a +1 large greataxe for a while before hanging it on the wall of their library. It made a great trophy.
