Useless might be a hard word, but I'll change that to mostly useless. I have never found any use for deity stats (beyond going "oooh" from the 1st ed Deities & Demigods), nor have I heard anyone firsthand who had any use of them.

Religion writeups, now, there's some material which can inspire not only scenarios but also make the world feel a lot more alive.

I don't imagine anyone has the stomach for a Deities & Demigods format article on such an obscure topic. Take it from the co-author of Faiths & Pantheons: deity stat blocks are a pain in the ass. Plus, I have a suspicion that almost no one uses them.

There's one deity stat block that I found very interesting and I keep it aside for future use. Which god's that? Iuz!

You see, if you're running a GH campaign and your players wanna bash down the doors of Dorakaa and scon Iuz on the noggin, then you should really have the full and current stats on this god-tyrant. All the better to blast hubris-filled PCs away with!

I mean, a god sittin' around the Flanaess is serious business. Every GH DM should get the issue with Iuz's stat block in it. Dragon #294, I believe.

No, my group never got theough the Drow modules to there so she still lives!!

Not really, there a split between Lloth and another goddess, Lloth has the Drow who are extinct and the other goddess has the Driders which ar enot. The spiders are split between th e two really. But both have been captured and imprisoned by greater gods for eons. Till the players come and free them in the newxt few weeks...
