I agree it's pretty easy to use. One question I have though is I set up a campaign, my players created PCs under that campaign, and I created an encounter inside the map tool with the same campaign. After adding the PCs how do I invite them so they can access and interact with the encounter? Are they automatically invited once added to the encounter? Im currently on the 1-month free trial but I wouldn't think that would prevent me from using any features.I've been continually using DDB before, during, and after the introduction of the 2024 rules, and it's been no problem. And yeah, Maps is fairly basic, but definitely the easiest, most integrated VTT I've tried. By a country mile.
Once you start the session there is a link you can give them. They can also go there by going to the campaign tab.I agree it's pretty easy to use. I'm starting to figure things out. It seems that it's not as intuitive as I thought it would be. It still requires you to use the encounter builder and players have their PC sheet open. I find it odd that when assigning advantage/disadvantage is +5 or -5 and you have to end the combat to remove it from what I can tell.Once you start the session there is a link you can give them. Thanks. I figured it out a little while ago. We're playing tomorrow so we're going to test it out then.Once you set things up on your end, all the players have to do is click a link (looks like a sideways triangle) on their character sheets in Beyond.
Good luck. My players have liked it a lot.Thanks. I figured it out a little while ago. We're playing tomorrow so we're going to test it out then.
Definitely seems like it has potential, so we'll have to decide if it's worth using in play. Appears easy enough to use so hopefully they add more featuresGood luck. My players have liked it a lot.
You don’t need the Encounter Builder on Maps anymore. You can drop a monster token and add it to a tracker now in Maps.I'm starting to figure things out.
