Question of Ultimate Laziness for the COM+ developers and experts out there:
I want to be able to "deep-link" to the properties page for a particular COM+ application, because due to a problem with a finicky third-party resource planning package, one COM+ app it uses has to be frequently tweaked. I have to open Component Services Explorer, expand-expand-expand, right-click properties, and then reset the properties of the Component to fix it.
If I know the Application ID of the component, is there a way to make a shortcut link to the properties of the COM+ app for the desktop, to make my fix quicker? I know there is a way to make shortcuts to certain parts of Windows by knowing their CLSID's, a la "New--> Folder--> Name.{CLSID}"
However, is there a way to do this for Application ID's for COM+ objects, or a registry edit to make it possible? I can live with it as-is, but if anyone knows how to do such, it would be greatly appreciated.
