Question on Elements of Magic and Summon Outsiders

On the table for Summon Outsider, it just seems that these numbers are REALLY high, especially with 3.5E monsters. A sixth level effect can bring a Solar into being -- you can't do this with an equivalent SM6.


So, the question is -- Is this table errata'ed somewhere, and I just missed it, or was the intention to make these summon lists very powerful?


As a comparison, the Summon Elemental table is more in line with the expected values for equivalent SMx spells, which is why I ask.

Well, you probably should've posted your question in the E.N. Publishing forum, but I can answer it here. Long story short, the numbers are just wrong. I would use the Elemental list's numbers instead, because they are more balanced (though not necessarily properly balanced).
