Anubis

First Post
I am working on my revised Saiyan stats, but with Shapechanger not being a type anymore, I am at a loss.

Which of the following best applies to Saiyans?

Humanoid
Monstrous Humanoid
Giant

Humanoid is the first instinct, but it doesn't explain the awesome strength and power.

Monstrous humanoid thus is the second thought, but the only animalistic feature of a Saiyan is the tail, which is part of the Shapechanger Subtype as it directly relates to the Oozaru Form.

Giant I initially threw out because they are usually at least Large. After seeing the Medium Half-Troll Barbazu, however, I now have to consider this one. Saiyans are notable due to awesome strength and fortitude, and that is precisely what giants have. Still, something doesn't sound right.

Thoughts?

How about Outsiders?

In D&D, visitors from another Plane make more sense than visitors from another planet. Although not exactly by-the-book, it is, the most appropriate considering their overpowered abilities and their alien-ness.

Saiya-jin are characters from the anime Dragonball Z. They hail from a far off planet, have monkey tails, are ridiculously strong, and turn into giant apes at the full moon.

I am generally of the opinion that they are of the 'munchkin' type, myself.

Aha. Well, never mind.

I never could figure out what that show's all about- every episode I've seen seems to revolve around a couple of guys posturing and threatening, and I think you get a wish spell from a dragon if you figure out the plot or something...?

It's really kind of cool, if you remember something crucial: never watch it on TV. Get it on tape, chop out commercials/credits/intro/etc and watch it in blocks of about 6 episodes at a time. It becomes much much easier to follow. :)
