Questions about bonus types and stacking

My hope is that they dramaticly reduce the number of named bonuses in 4.0e.

Please. ......Otherwise it's just begging for Min/Maxing.

The previous edition didn't have the concept of named bonuses, so everything stacked with everything. Named bonuses specifically limit the opportunities for min/maxing from that point of view.

Yes, having too many names dilutes this effect, but I don't see a need to "dramatically" reduce it.

I'd really like to see definitive list of bonus names, with no allowance for unnamed bonuses.

Something like:

Inherent
Luck
Sacred/Profane (two sides of the same coin, really)
Dodge
... etc.

I'd also like to see guidance and a description for each bonus type, so that a DM and future books could categorize any new bonuses.

The problem becomes apparent at higher level play. With many different bonuses to stack together, your AC or saves or..."whatever" can be made very high, very cheaply.

There's already such a list in the DMG, complete with guidance on what sorts of things each bonus should work against (armor class, etc.)
