Quickdrawing wands

Does anyone else here use a house rule where wands can be quickdrawn? One of my players plays a halfling rogue and is getting Quickdraw as his newest feat. He normally dual-wields daggers, but has a magic missile wand (used with Use Magic Device) for dealing with certain monsters (e.g. oozes, noncorporeals). I told him I'd let him quickdraw the wand, too, since it's about the same size, and is stored and brandished much like a dagger. I was just wondering if others have allowed this or if anyone has reason to believe it would be particularly imbalancing.

IIRC Quick Draw applies to all weapons, not just a specific one. So, if the question is, does a sheathed wand count as something to which I could apply my trained quick-drawing instincts, then I think so. Of course, the wand would have to be in an accessible place, like a weapon, not just hanging in a pocket somewhere.

This should be allowed.

IMC, I allow wands to be quickdrawn if they are on a belt, in a bracer of wands, or any easily accesible location.

Something that would be cool was if you allowed a person to use Two-Weapon Fighting and Improved Two-Weapon Fighting combined with Quickdraw to pull out two wands and fire them in the same round (Especially if they both had multi-shot spells in them, like Magic Missile). Would be really Western-like....

"Arkutha and Ifak faced off, standing silently on the dusty road that went through the abandoned miners town. No movement was to be seen, as the two old men looked at eachother with hatred and greed in their eyes. Ifak's finger twitched ever so slightly, as his hand was poised above his wand. Arkutha clenched his eyes, as the sun burnt in his eyes. Yet, his sight did not falter, his aim was steady. With a burst of energy, the two archmages pulled their hands down and reached for their wand, both frantic in their desire to slay their opponent. Ifak was somewhat faster, as the wands were quickly pulled out of their hoilsters and placed in firing position. A volley of small, blue darts flew from each wand, striking Arkutha. The old man flew backwards at the force of the darts and he landed heavily on the dusty road. Ifak walked over, looking at the body of his mortal enemy. Arkutha's breath was getting slower as he looked up on Ifak.
"Darn"
He said...
"I knew you had gotten faster... but..... I didn't think.... you were fast enough.... to beat.... your old master.......... "
