R1: Hired Hands (nimisgod judging)

After a few minutes, Horton returns to the porch. "Mr. Travers has agreed to meet with you. Please step inside." Horton leads through a foyer into a large sitting room, chairs and couches spread throughout. "If'n you'll wait here, he'll be with you in just a moment. Now if you'll escuse me, I gots to be gettin' back to the work in the yard." Horton nods his head at you and leaves you alone.

Tor shrugs and says quietly "For all I know, the farmer may be as honest as the day is long, but some of his men -- probably including Dak -- are bound to be in the pay of the bandits. If we get an hour away from the farm without being set upon by armed men, I'll be terribly disapointed."

Gideon lets a small smile come over his features. "I too find it unlikely that bandits are roaming this area and the farmers have hardly seen or dealt with them."

Tor nods, but because he is concerned about being overheard says nothing more while waitng for the farmer... or for the attack, whichever comes first.

Valan shakes his head "These are hit and run tactics, what are farmers going to do? Organise an unruly mob? Sure, but pinning anything down with an unruly mob is nigh impossible."

Kerrz utters a harsh whisper, "Someone's coming."

A second later, Gideon and Valan can hear it as well, footsteps approaching down the hall. A moment passes and then a tall figure enters the doorway. "Greetings, travelers. I am Dustin Travers. I understand you wish to discuss something with me."

OOC: Sorry -- had some pressing real-life concerns. I should be able to participate more now. I apologize for any inconvenience.
