And the information you've presented is most interesting, yes, most interesting. It is getting on in the day, gentlemen. Please, stay in town tonight as guests of the Guild. We'll make sure you're properly cared for and tomorrow we can finish up and provide your pay."
Ms. LeCroix stands up at this and steps outside the door for a moment. She returns shortly, accompanied by a young man. "This is Henri. He will escort you to The Wishing Well, one of the local inns. A carriage is being brought around for you." Simone then leaves you with your guide, who smiles shyly at the three rugged looking men.
"This way, gentlemen. By the time we reach the entrance the carriage should be waiting for us." Henri then leads the way back through the maze, down the stairs to the lobby, and outside again. A large carriage is sitting there waiting.
Kerrz sticks his head out the window and hollers at you. "Get a load o' this, guys! We're like royalty now!" A big grin creases the fighters face. Once everyone is inside and situated, Henri climbs up next to the driver and the carriage starts moving. "Ms. LeCroix must've been pleased with what you said for all this. They have the horses stabled at that place we saw when we first came into town. Mr. Travers is there now making sure everything is taken care of properly. The driver said we're staying the night at some inn, s'posed to be real nice." Kerrz then shuts up and looks out the window, enjoying the trip through the city.
ooc: This effectively ends Hired Hands. I'll post XP awards after I get home tonight. The adventure will continue briefly as I finish the epilogue and we determine who's interested in continuing on with R2: Rats in a Maze.

Epilogue
The Wishing Well is a small, well-appointed inn located on the southern side of the Western Road, called First Street locally, just east of the Market. Henri has a few quiet words with the proprietor who looks over the group and nods. "Everything will be taken care of by the Council. Gabriel will show you to your rooms where you can enjoy a bath and then you may take supper in the dining room." Henri then bids you a good evening and leaves the inn to take the carriage back.
Everyone is shown to their own private room, complete with large tub and hot water for the promised bath. After everyone gets settled into their rooms, refreshes themselves, and makes themselves presentable, they reconvene in the dining room where they find Dustin Travers waiting for them. "Well, I must say this is impressive. You must've performed a great service to the Council for them to spring for this place."
The men all seat themselves around a large table and treat themselves to a sumptuous meal complete with drinks and dessert. Afterword, Valan stands up. "Excuse me, gentlemen, but I have an errand I feel should be completed as soon as possible. My brethren here are awaiting a package from Allimon and I need to deliver it promptly to ensure Grendath continues to smile upon me." The cleric takes his leave but promises to meet everyone in the morning for their visit to the Council House.
The following morning, with everyone fully rested and refreshed after a full night of undisturbed sleep and another delicious meal in the dining room, the carriage returns to the inn to deliver the group to the Council House. Henri greets them in the lobby and escorts them back upstairs to the meeting room without delay. As everyone seats themselves, Simone LeCroix enters the room.
"Good morning, everyone. I trust you enjoyed your stay at the inn," she starts with a smile. "The information and evidence you provided to us yesterday, combined with what we learned from the culprits, have satisfied the Council that the threat on the Western Road is at an end, thanks to you. Here is your promised compensation."
Simone then places a full sack on the table that jangles promisingly before continuing. "You gentlemen are now free of any obligation to the Council and Ravensdale and may return to Orussus or anywhere else you wish to go. However, if you decide to stay in town, we may have further work for you." She looks pensive for a moment before continuing. "To be honest, all the information has created a few more questions than its answered and the Council is discussing what steps should be taken next. If you decide to stay, please let the receptionist in the lobby know where you can be located so we can contact you if necessary. Thank you again for all you've done for us. Does any of you have any questions before we adjourn?"

ooc: The half-dozen furs were returned to the merchant who originally lost them. In addition to the 65pp each Simone just paid you, you still have 400gp to split up, plus a potion, ring and wand to identify and/or sell. Everyone, except for Kerrz, should have enough xp to level up, so don't forget to update your character sheets and get them approved before we continue with Rats in a Maze. I'm going to recruit 2-3 more players to join Tor and Gideon and I hope to start the adventure after the weekend.

The 400gp divides up evenly to 80gp each.
For the low price of 6 platinum each (there are 5 of us) for the 3 100gp pearls, plus the 1/5th the cost of getting the identify spells cast, we can get the 3 items identified.
Once we know what those are, we can move on from there.

What's the DC to identify a potion?

Gideon will sell his light crossbow and bolts for 18gp (half of 36gp), his leather armor for 5gp, and use the money to purchase himself a serviceable suit of Breastplate Armor, a heavy wooden shield, and will pay to have his father's old bastard sword reforged/blade replaced/refurbished (mechanically, he is selling his old sword for 17.5gp, and buying a masterwork cold iron bastard sword). He'll also purchase a light horse and tack.
To my understanding those should cost:
200gp (Breastplate 30 lb.)
7gp (Heavy Wooden Shield 10 lb.)
370gp (Masterwork Cold Iron Bastard Sword)
75gp (Light Horse)
2gp (Bit and bridle 1 lb)
10gp (Riding saddle 25 lb)
