Too bad the halfling gets the bye. I'm not a huge gnome fan, but they should've gotten the core slot over the bland, pointless halflings, if you need a little person.

Gnomes are fighting against the oppression of years of statuary-related bigotry. It's not all pointy hats and fishing rods you know.

Rock gnomes are meh but forest gnomes get minor illusion for free (useful) and speak with small animals (useful background info/scouting).

Not as harsh "woah! Wtf just walked in my shop?" as DB and are meant for role playing rather than roll playing.

Gnomes ftw!

Blasted gnomes, always yapping. I swear, whoever taught you how to parrot the other races needs a good kicking...

My first character ever was a Gnome Illusionist. While including draconians under Dragonborn in 5e was a nice move, I have to go with the wee lads.
