Race Elimination - Dwarf vs. Eladrin!

I like both these races so erm,

I'll vote dwarf off because I currently don't have a character as a dwarf, dumb reason but best I can give for 2 races that are actually quite good.

I like dwarves. They are grumpy, like beer and gold, and speak with a Scottish accent - just like me!

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a big eladrin supporter. In past editions, I was always an elf hater. This time 'round, I've felt like the eladrin shed a bit of the "We are better than humans" in favor of the "We are really not human". Maybe it's that their eyes don't have sclera. Maybe it's that they are supposed to come from the feywild instead of being part of the natural world. In any case, they get my seal of approval despite being pretty boys.

That said, I'm alright with letting this go to the dwarves. I don't find them mechanically that interesting, and I find their flavor cliched, but they are better than most of the other races in the competition.

how can the eladrin still be here? they have some nice racials /feats but really i cringe at int/dex sharing the same defense. i mean the only class i can think i would choose this race for is the avenger. as far as roleplaying goes who would choose them over the elves?

our dwarf friends have great racials, great feats and great ability's scores and are simply more interesting to play in general. how is this a hard choice for anyone?
