Well, the bottom 4 are clear, but if we go to the next level we are kicking off 7 - not that I'm implying such is a problem, but jsut an observation that this is not the "6" that you had previously described.

Voted Dragonborn, they just don't fit with the other PCs and totally seem like fan service for the kids who want to play as a dragon or something.

It has been many, many years since someone called me a kid :) I guess I'm a kid a heart because the Dragonborn are easily my favourite (new) race in 4E.

The thing I liked about the previous editions was that from looking at some art, it was obvious who the heroes and who the bad guys are. With Dragonborn, it's just eh.

Err, huh? Nearly every picture of a Dragonborn I have seen (and I have lots of them - the big splash page in the DMG2 of a party fighting Fire Giants is my desktop wallpaper) shows them as heroes. Not every hero is an elf.

Hey, me too!

I hated the new Tieflings and the Dragonborn when 4e first came out. They have grown on me, I think most settings have given them exemplary fluff and really improved my view of them. Also, playing a Dragonborn Paladin for awhile helped.

I am tending to vote on these based on fluff, not mechanics. I will not care if the most mechanically sound races survive, but I'd like to have *interesting* ones make it. Deep down I know it's gonna be Dwarves and Humans. Everyone loves Dwarves.

God I hope dwarves don't win - dwarves annoy me to no end.

Though, that may be due to my friend who almost always plays a dwarf - well, he annoys me too. :)

i wouldn't be surprised to see the genasi win along with humans they are incredibly varied to player tastes. and have a unique and useful stat allocation and interesting racial feats to boot.

They're my favorites but I'm guessing a bunch will go d-bag on them soon enough.

Well, I'm confused for one, as to why they are not divided in this poll as the Shifters were. Why is there no "Water genasi, Fire Genasi, Earth genasi etc..."?

Because, I don't know about the other kinds, but the Earth Genasi I have seen looks as silly as a Bladeling, and if everyone is voting bladeling off the island on appearance, I suspect they should do the same for EG's.

I would like to see some more Genasi art, to be honest. The Bladelings also have that porcupine thing going for (against?) them. I have to admit, I really don't have an opinion on Bladelings myself, which is odd.

Genasi aren't just earth/fire/whatever - they can be multiple manifestations, vary them up with feats, etc. Whereas Razorclaw and Longtooth get actual ability score and power differences.

I don't have whatever book the Genasi are in, but I do not understand what you mean.

Each Genasi has identical skill and stat bonuses, and the same feat availability?
