So it is an ongoing trend? I approve. I keep forgetting the things I am not familiar with in 3e since I basicallly skipped it. Racial level limits were intended to make up for humans being wussy previously but seemed to always get house ruled out of existance and only impacted rather high level play even so.

A free feat (plus free at-will -> this latter gets better as the game progresses), plus 1 on all defensese etc etc, humans are favored by the divine...or atleast me.

I think 4e is quite possibly the first edition where humans and non-humans are both pretty good (unless that was the case in Basic/OD&D). In 3e, other than possibly dwarven tanks, humans were usually the best core race choice.

Voted Dragonborn, they just don't fit with the other PCs and totally seem like fan service for the kids who want to play as a dragon or something.
The thing I liked about the previous editions was that from looking at some art, it was obvious who the heroes and who the bad guys are. With Dragonborn, it's just eh. Not to mention that they seem capable of only one facial expression and all look exactly the same.

While some traditional fantasy goes for the black & white, good vs. evil thing, I personally prefer a more nuanced view, where just because you don't like the color of someone's skin (or the fact that they have scales), that doesn't necessarily mean it's good to kill them.

I'll give you that one, though. It's rare to see a smirking, laughing, or sad dragonborn.

Check this out ... an interesting interpretation ... very cool, Dragonborn are very central to this I think I mentioned it earlier the Draco-form element is a shifter like effect. Dragonborn as people with a hidden "true" form.

As a race the warforged have great feats and mechanics, but keep the robots in a specifically orcs-in-spaaaace game and keep them out of my core. :hmm:

Yep, always clear who was evil here:

Just don't listen to him if he claims to be a lawful good paladin :)

And half-orcs were never all that pretty.

Um, you mean Dragonbait: Alias' companion, who can communicate either to her, or to other people by smell? I think he's a paladin. I'm guessing this is irony.

ALSO: I'm going to close this thread tomorrow. I think it's clear who the losers are!
