[Rampant Speculation] The First New "Power Sources"

So we're told the PHB is for "arcane, divine, and martial" characters. These have been called the three first "power sources" in 4e, with others to come soon.

So, rampant speculation: the next three power sources you think will ACTUALLY be published in the first splatter. And note what you'd like to see, too.

My Own List:

• Ki: Perhaps in something like an OA, where we'll get 4e monks and samurai and ninja.
• Fey: I'm thinking Gnomes, alternate Warlocks, Illusionists, even Bards here.
• Psionic: Probably another overhaul...and I wonder if we'll see a psionics without power points?

That's my list because I think that one of the first priorities of 4e is going to give people the same basic stuff they had in 3e if possible. If something got shunted from the Core, I think it'll find a home in a more appropriate splat sometime within the first year.

But what's yours? And what's your wish list?

I suspect we may see a "Nature" power source, which will have druids, geomancers, and things like that. Possibly even an alternate ranger.

In my own campaign, I categorized magic into Arcane, Divine, Nature and Art - Art being the province of bards, namely magic which comes from pure human creativity and imagination, not from unlocking some external, mystical secrets.

Gnomes are a class now?!? Actually, that explains a lot.

There's nothing classier than a gnome.

Gnomes will either be in PH1 or the MM1 appendix, and they certainly won't be fey, that's the 4e elvenoids' (elf, eladrin, drow) shtick.

I personally don't make much division between Ki and Psionic; I (and Secrets of Sarlona) think that they're names for the same thing.

But yeah, I'd love a Nature powersource. Shamans, Shapeshifter-based Defenders, and Druid controllers.

An idea:

Power Source: Bloodline. Dragons, Fiends, and other types of monsters. You could have made a pact with that Demon, or you could make that dragon your Patron (Like the Dragon Shaman). Throw Fey and other such monsters in here.

I continue to think that we'll see an 'artifice' power source come around, rolling up artificers and gnomish tinkers and alchemy, with warforged and gnomes as full player races to show them off.

Nature seems likely, as well, and psionics are an obvious choice. I'm not totally sold on ki, but we'll see what comes down the pipe.

I don't think bards are going to belong to any new power source. They'll just simply be an arcane class, with the leader role.

Psionics will certainly be a new power source.

I think we'll eventually see science/technology as another source.

True Names is going to come back, and probably something along the lines of pacts.

My guess is that PHB2 will include the "Nature" and "Psionics" power sources giving us Elemental Summoners, Druids, Shapeshifting Avengers/Guardians and Beastmasters for "Nature" and Psions, Wilder, Psychic Warriors and more for "Psionics"

"Shadow" power source would be cool.

"Far Realms" (Cthulhu & friends) woul be awesome.
