Ran or played in games above level 20 in "X" editions

Anyhoo -

I've had one character who went from 1st-32nd level in OD&D, then was converted to 26th level in AD&D 2e, then was retired. RL play span: 7 years.

I had another who went from 1st-17th level in AD&D 2e, was converted to 3e, continued to 26th level, and retired. RL play span: 9 years.

I have a third who went from 1st-15th level in AD&D 2e, converted to 3e, and continued to 21st. He's extant, but it remains to be seen how much more play he will get. I'm hoping he will get some 4e DMing. RL play span: 14 years, hopefully bit more.

played in a short campaign in the 2000ed which was set around 35th lvl. it was supposed to be an Epic Campaign.
but the only thing epic about it was the fail.

otherwise... nope

i refereed an OD&D campaign for a little shy of 11 years. the highest level achieved by any of the PCs was 12th.

In every edition of D&D in the poll, I've been in games which at least one or more characaters went from 1st level to 30th level or higher

I've played a 20th level character in 1e and in 3e but never above 20. The 1e character was human and switched classes so he was level 3/20 and the 3e one was an ECL 20 drow so he was actually below 20.

In 20 years of gaming the highest level any character that I or anyone in my group has ever had is 19th lvl.
