That is contingent on the GM actually feeling a delayed action is not still part of your turn, just delayed.

Or, another way of putting it, "Once per turn" can be read as "once before the beginning of your next turn".
The term Turn is described on page 189 of the Player's Handbook. It is that you can move a distance and take one action. Creatures may also get a bonus action, which is not part of the definition of a turn but is something an additional action they can take on their turn. Note that Reaction is not included in this definition.

The term Reaction is described on page 190 of the PHB. It says "A reaction is an instant response to a trigger of some kind, which can occur on your turn or on someone else's."

There isn't a reading of this that includes that a Reaction is always considered part of your turn, and there is evidence otherwise since it explicitly is called out it can happen on other people's turns.

All of this is further clarified in the official Sage Advice compendium in the Rogue section, with an OA being an example of how they can get more then one SA per round.

Can a rogue use Sneak Attack more than once per round? The Sneak Attack description specifies that you can use the feature once per turn, but it’s not limited to your turn. The feature also doesn’t limit the number of times you can use it in a round.
You sometimes get a chance to use Sneak Attack on someone else’s turn. The most common way for this to happen is when a foe provokes an opportunity attack from you. If the requirements for Sneak Attack are met, your opportunity attack can benefit from that feature. Similarly, a fighter could use Commander’s Strike to grant you an attack on the fighter’s turn, and if the attack qualifies, it can use Sneak Attack. Both of those options rely on the use of your reaction, so you could do only one of them in a round.
Because you get only one reaction per round, you’re unlikely to use Sneak Attack more than twice in a round: once with your action and once with your reaction.

This the dentinal fear was the old way of sneak attacking not on your turn.

Or Battlemaster fighter.

So unless the DM changes the rules this is RAW it's very clear.

And if they're doing that you can argue anything as you can change anything.

If only stealth was so clear.
