Rapidshot + Many Shot?

Does this combination work? If so, how many arrows do I get and at what attack bonus?

No. Rapid Shot requires a full round action while Manyshot uses a standard action. They are not compatible.

I had a player attempt to do this when he joined my campaign. I remembered him telling me he wasn't a power player when we talked so I didn't think to go through his character with a find tooth comb.

He had picked the combo and told me he got six shots per turn. I let him do it one time for flavor (he was prividing cover fire to the party from high ground) and then looked the rule up. Rapid fire requires a full round action.
Many shot requires a standard action.

By the way he quit the campaign once I told him the combo was illegal.

Yeah, he did and it left a real bitter taste in my mouth. I told him one week. The next week he no showed ,and the next week he called and said he didn't want to play anymore. It happens. I just hate the amount of time I wasted helping him with his background. He was one of those guys whom only talked when combat came around. Not a problem, just not the right campaign for him.

Choker?

The choker has a special ability which gives him an additional standard action every round (similar to 3.0 Haste).

Accordingly, he's got enough time in his turn to use Manyshot (standard action) and Rapid Shot (full-round action).
