D&D 5E RAS's Maestro: Future products and a bit of a rant. (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT)

Just remember that Forgotten Realms has a long and reliable tradition of killing off Demon Lords and Deities and then bringing them back again.

Not just FR. Remember Orcus? He was killed during the Bloodstone wars, I believe. However, he returned, even more eeebil than before as a dark god of undeath named Tenebrous. Now, he's back full swing.

Death in D&D is rarely eternal, not for creatures as powerful as gods and greater demons.

Wow an 8th lvl champion taking out a demonlord, who woulda thunk it.

Ninja'd...you beat me too it.

Love the snarky type response.

Haven't read the book, I think at the end of the Neverwinter series though, Drizzt was dying. If it wasn't for the Companions plot, I suppose Drizzt would be dead.

I havent read a RAS book in forever. I think he blew his creative wad on the first trilogy . But hey people are buying his books so whatever.

I don't want to see future dictated by RAS's writings.

*end rant*

Little late for that complaint don't you think? RAS has been producing Drizz't books for well over a decade now and of course, RAS is not determining the lore, I'm certain there's someone in WOTC saying things along the lines of "This does or does not happen". But in any case, this certainly isn't new. Drizz't novels have been leading the story for a while now.

Actually RAS and Greenwood got alot of control regarding their books and forgottenrealms as a whole right now.

Oh, huh. I don't really read the books. I've tried and generally find most books based off things I like to be garbage.

Oh I totally agree with you, im not a fan of either of them. When wizards did that whole spell plaque thing in 4th. Those two kinda joined forces and convinced wizards they could fix it. Hoestly it seems like they just brought all the old stuff back without really saying how.
