Not quite what I expected based on last week's teaster- take that for what it's worth.

Loved the "Mission Impossible"-esque sequence. "She's gone out the window, then?"

Some really nice character moments, as usual. The Doctor's "date" with the slitheen Blon, in particular, makes me seriously question anyone who thinks that previous continuity of the series has been tossed out the window- the Doctor's reaction, as well as the subtext of the scene, really (IMO) is based strongly on the Doctor's past life decisions and actions, and Eccleston really portrays the anxiety of the moment very well.

"Bad Wolf" surfaces again, and far more prominently than ever this time. Really enjoyed Jack Harkness' character this episode. Don't know what they've got in store for him, but based on last week's episode and the fact that he's in the next two (final two) of the season, I think his story is deeply tied in with the Doctor, and I wouldn't mind seeing him stick around for the next incarnation of the Doctor, especially with Billie "Rose" Piper slated to leave early on next season.

Very low key episode, not a whole accomplished, though I have to admit I absolutely love how tight continuity has been this season as a whole. Really awesome, and I hope they keep it up going into the next season (Gwyneth as the reason for the rift? Tight.)

Should go without saying that the preview for next week is awesome. We should get all the answers we've been looking for very soon.

I loved this episode. What impressed me most was Annette Badland's acting (Blon/Margaret). The dialogue and overall caliber of the actors this season has been really good.

A new twist for this go around of Dr Who is that this companion is in many cases center stage. I like how the writers take time to explore the implications of someone just running off through space and time, and how it effects those left behind.

As I watch these episodes I have begun to search for Bad Wolf spoilers, but
The Doctor's reacation to the powerplant's name was great to put it out in the open, but hinted that he either knew what was up or had suspicions. I can't wait to see how this unfolds over the next two episodes.

I like how loose ends get revisited and how the episodes are self-referential. The teaser for next week will keep me on a geek buzz until next Saturday :)

Epsiode was ok.

Advert, and anticipation, for next episode was a definite 10!

Johnd
I didn't like the last shot of the advert for the next episode as it gave away something I think should have remained as a surprise - not going to mention what it is though.

Nice episode this. As has been mentioned, not a lot happens, but the performances are good, there are some nice character moments, particularly around Mickey the Idiot (does anyone else wonder what the hell Rose was doing with him in the first place?) and it explores the consequences of the Doctor's previous actions nicely - although it was only when I'd watched the Doctor Who Confidential documentary afterwards that I really started thinking about it. Why aren't these documentaries on the dvd, huh?

I think I missed a couple of the BW references in previous episodes... can someone post 'em for me?

I have to admit when I saw the preview for this episode I was a bit disappointed; I thought "oh dear, not the stupid Slitheen again." But it turned out to be much better than I expected. Really excellent character development for both the Doctor and Rose. I enjoyed the exploration of just what it really means to travel with the Doctor, something they've explored quite a lot in the novels but not much in the series. I agree that the actress playing Margaret/Blon was very good. Lots of food for thought in that episode, and yet the "saving the world" schtick was saved for the last few minutes! :D

I'm torn between looking forward to the next episodes and fearing them because Eccleston's leaving. Only two more to go!!! Waaah!:(
