Nope.

A race of things disguised as MPs (thats members of parliment) threatened to start world war three so that earth became a radioactive wasteland so they could seel it off as bits of fuel.

Yep- One Dalek next week, and a heap more are supposed to be coming down the pike. Wonder if the Master will turn up, too? There's still the "unreleased" title of the next to last episode (hasn't been released because it supposedly gives a clue as to the episode's content).

I liked this episode, though I thought they breezed a bit too quickly through the cliffhanger. I didn't really get into the ep until about 1/4 through it. The Doc's solution to the alien problem was pretty... unexpected.

I thought that the premise of
the need to get UN authorisation to use nukes was pretty unrealistic - can I envisage us (or anyone) handing over control to the UN?
Not so good.

On the other hand the "45 seconds" "weapons of mass destruction" claim was delicious irony, all things considered.

The one thing that I really liked, which lifted this episode, was the Doctor talking to Mickey at the end.
Offering him the opportunity to join up and come along, and then being prepared to make himself look mean in order to spare Mickeys feelings. Good stuff.

Cheers

I really enjoyed it, especially the discussion between the Doctor and Rose's mum. They've never really dealt before with what happens to the companions' families while they're gone - I guess the assumption was that the Doctor brought them back home 5 minutes after they left, and I liked it that they didn't go with that assumption this time. The wrapup was a bit rushed, though.

That depends. Where in the US are you?

I get CBC as part of my Comcast Cable subscription. CBC shows the good Dr about a week behind the UK. :D
