I enjoyed it, though it did seem to drag at some parts (more like they were trying to strech it out rather then tighten it up). Though there were some wierd elements (like the random Alfred) I still felt it deserved an 8

Gave it a 7. I think it tryed to be too much, was it a relationship movie or an action flick, it had highs and lows but the transition from one to the other just dragged.

Also gave it a 7. In interviews it's been stated that Venom was an add-on to the original script, because "the fans wanted it". All it ended up doing was over-complicate the story and comprimise charater development all 'round. The plot contrivances strained suspension of disbelief to introduce the symbiote to Peter and then the creation of Venom.

Last scene with the butler was teeth-grittingly bad and contrived.

Bryce Dallas Howard ("Gwen") looks better with her natural red hair.

But what character interaction there was was good (except the butler) and the effects and action scenes I found enjoyable as well.

Pretty colors do not make a movie alone.

Stringing overused and cliched tropes together do not make a plot.

People acting in the exact opposite way as they did five minutes ago do not make character development.

Too many utterly unbelievable events make my suspension of disbelief cry.

A solid three.

(and of course the seven policemen chasing the convicted murderer and at 6 feet away from him do not shoot to kill)

To be fair, I have a cop friend, and cops aren't supposed to shoot people for running away, only when they're an active threat. Plus, the guy was a convicted thief, and only a confessed murderer.

I gave it a 2. I will cite my posted from the Spiderman 3 spoilers thread as my main reason:

BATMAN & ROBIN is the really bad George Clooney one, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman. And SPIDERMAN 3 is its 10-year-delayed identical twin.

I had a good time watching it, but it wasn't deathless art, so I gave it a 7.

Folks, the OP asked for no spoilers here. There's another thread for that. Please abide by that request.

A solid 6. Like a lot of individual elements, but it was basically a $260 million fanboy movie. The originals were so much more than that, so I was holding the bar pretty high.

Also, it really bugged me that Spidey had his mask off about as much as he had it on. I suspect Tobey had something to do with that, and I didn't appreciate it.
