Also, i'mcurious what is a 6 or 7 to some. For me, 5 is average. 6 or 7 is above average. where 8 and 9 is good.
7 is above average, which the movie was. It was enjoyable, I didn't notice the time, I wasn't falling asleep, nor was I pining for massive amounts of booze to make the pain go away.

If it was an average movie, I probably wouldn't remember it. If it was bad, I'd remember it sucking hardcore, like Freddy Got Fingered, Ghost Rider, or How High? Spider-Man 3? Nope.

Ending? There will be a Spiderman 4. I'd put money on it.
I have no doubt there will be another Spiderman movie eventually. I wouldn't bet on it having the same actors, director, or continuing the storyline from the first 3 Spiderman movies though.

Sucker's bet. The studio execs have already said there's going to be a Spidey 4, 5, & 6. Whether or not Raimi or the actors from the first three come back is another matter entirely. From what's perportedly being said, Raimi was less than thrilled at having Venom and Gwen Stacy rammed down his throat, so he may not be such a shoo-in for director for the next one.

And with the money Spidey 3 has made so far, you can bet the studio will be willing to move mountains to get more Spidey movies made.

I gave it a 7. I didn't have high expectations, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Me too. The "hairstyle reflects my mental state" thing was about the only real major problem I had with the movie. Well, that and the sappy "money for my sick daughter" angle.

[George] Lucas told me he has seen all the summer movies since his company, Industrial Light and Magic, does most of the special effects. The only one they didn't work on was "Spider-Man 3." What did he think of it?

"It's silly. It's a silly movie," he said. "There just isn't much there. Once you take it all apart, there's not much story, is there?"

Well, it's not "Star Wars."

"People thought 'Star Wars' was silly, too," he added, with a wink. "But it wasn't."

I gave it a 7. It was enjoyable, but too many villains made it seem very crowded and too much of the plot relied on laboured contrivances. I know it's a super-hero film and there are genre conventions that should be followed, but there's a line where you cross from 'true to the genre' into 'lazy writing', and Spider-Man 3 stepped over it several times.

Gave it an 8. I liked the first two movies equally, but this one fell short some how.

I thought it was funny when Peter went all Fallout Boy with his hair style when he got the black suit. It kind of reminded me of "evil" Spock from Star Trek, where the only difference was a goatee.

No, you don't either have a plot or no plot. In fact, the inference is pretty absurd. I realize that when you said the movie had "no plot" that that was hyperbole, but it's still absurd, and if anything indicative of exactly the problem the movie didn't have, not the problem it did. As for little resolution,
what the heck?! So, the black suit corrupting spiderman storyline wasn't resolved? I'd say it was developed and resolved handily. How about the MJ/Peter falling out? Same. How about the long-brewing redemption of Harry Osborne? This was finally resolved after not being resolved in the last two movies. I'm not seeing your criticism. At all. It seems a really bizarre one that's actually completely the opposite of how the movie is structured.
You either have something or you don't, there's nothing absurd about that. When you have something, you have all of it. You don't have some or part or most of it.
The black suit wasn't satisfied in the least bit, there was no time. Why did it fal down, what was it, why did it do that to spiderman. Why didn't spiderman turn into a monster. How did Peter know its weakness. Did Eddie block completely blow up.

MJ and Peter, another unresolved storyline. First, why is Peter let back into that club. How do they both go on with the death of their friend. Mary jane is still self absorbed and Peter Parker is still too proud of his work. There's nothing changed there.
Redemption of Harry Osborne? There was no reason for him to help Spiderman out, thus no redemption. And what redemption, wasn't it peter who burned half of his face off. Shouldn't he be the one seeking revenge. And what's up with the green syrum and the voices. What does this butler have against harry to not tell him vital plot info for three movies. Harry's death was just away to end the movie, it didn't redeem him or resolve anything.

Then there's the sandman thing, he killled a men and robbed people, doesn't he have to pay for what he's done.

Nothing was resolved at the end of the movie. I enjoyed Daredevil more. I enjoyed punisher more. Heck, I even enjoyed batman 3 more.
