I have seen a lot of post about "pro" and "anti" 4e, but I have the feeling that many people are somewhere in between : like this, dislike that, don't know about something else.

So, now that we have a more precise picture of the game, its background and its rules, O would like to know how high are your expectations (because we can't have a final judgement right now) about 4e.

So, please rate it from 0 ("Never ! I hate all that I read about it") to 10 ("I would kill to have it now, because I like everything I know about it").

edit : it seems that we can't have 11 options... So, let's say that 9 is the max...

Definitely 10. Can't wait to start up my campaign. 3.5 is one of those systems I end up devoting way too much time making house rules for.

I've tried systems like GURPS and HERO but I think the problem with loose systems like those is that they try to do too much and end up only attributing mediocre combat mechanics that makes it too much of a chore to run.

4E's new streamlined approach will make homebrew content far easier to apply.

Oddly enough though, there's no option for 10 on your poll, so I'll go with 9.

8 for now. Since we have excerpts articles, I'm definitively on the upper end of the scale. I like what I have seen so far, but I'm waiting to read the three core books before giving a score of 9 or 10.

A month ago? 10 and steady.

Today? 8

I expect to reach 7 by the end of the month. Keep on the Shadowfell will make or break my remaining interest.

3. I've seen some interesting things; some not-so-great things; and a lot of "different but not better or worse" things. There are some things outside 4E itself (the way the GSL is shaping up, my lack of faith in WotC to produce a decent electronic character generator, the fact that I still enjoy and have tons of materials for -- and players for -- 3E) that are weighing heavily against my switching.

All the modules looks like they will be dungeon crawls, which I dislike. I will either be converting 3e modules or creating my own. (The conversion should be real easy, its not like I wouldn't tinker with the monsters if I didn't convert)
