Thinking in terms of skill (Level), not power, how would you rate the following superhero's:

Batman
Captain America
Wolverine
Daredevil
Spiderman

Thanks!

Depends on the skill:
Batman is highly skilled detective & martial artist
Captain America is highly skilled in shield usage & combat
Wolverine is highly skilled in beer drinking & brawling
Daredevil is highly skilled lawyer
Spiderman is highly skilled chemist

*ahem*

I believe Spidey is also pretty well skilled at combat, web-slinging, photography, teaching, detective work, quips & puns, taking the best beating and still kicking out of all listed save possibly Wolvie, and a host of other great skills.

Geez... talk about getting no respect.

;)

Batman - 20th level. Specialist (entrepeneur) 3/Fighter 6/Monk 1/ Rogue 3/Detective 4/Menacing Vigilante 3.

Captain America - 15th level. Hero 5/Fighter 10.

Wolverine - 22nd level. Hero 15/Fighter 5/Frenzied Berserker 2.

Daredevil - 9th level. Hero 3/Monk 3/Fighter 1/Specialist (lawyer) 2.

Spiderman - 20th level. Hero 12/Specialist 3/Fighter 3/Gadgeteer 2.

At least that's how I'd do them with Four-Color to Fantasy.

my biggest problem with this is that bruce wayne is more of an inventor than an entrepeneur. (i haven't experienced 4ctf yet) and he inherited all that wealth, rather than earning it :)

Um, okay. Just take out the word 'entrepeneur,' and you're set. If you're using default D&D rules, he probably took the Heroic Powers feat to get Hero Points instead of magic items (it's a kinda convoluted optional rule, which you'd need the book to fully understand). That way he'd have lots of Hero Points for all his various gadgets.

In terms of straight out technical fighting prowess, the Marvel Super heros game ranked most of these. In order:

Captain America
Daredevil/Woverine
Spider Man

Captain Ameirca is supposed to be the "ultimate human fighting machine", skill wise. You pretty much don't see better until you hit gods like Thor. So Cap is at least equal to Bats, if not superior.

1: Captain America Genetically perfect human fighting machine.

2: Wolverine In true berserk mode. Not that angry or beastial fury he has used since the early 90s, but true 80's style berserk mode.

3: Batman

4: Spiderman

5: Daredevil

1. Captain America
2. Batman
3. Daredevil
4. Spiderman
5. Wolverine

Cap and Batsy may be too close to call. Batman has the equipment advantage. But Cap's use of just his own body and its resources is better. Then again, Batman will use tactics that Cap won't. Ultimately, the fight depends on which Batman shows up that day, but the pure skill edge probably goes to Captain America.

Daredevil edges out Spidey because a lot of Spidey's prowess comes from his powers, while DD's comes mainly from himself. Spidey would wipe the floor with Daredevil, but it would be because his powers are greater, not his fighting skill.

Wolverine, despite the fact that he might take all of them, has less skill. Despite his military training, and all the references to Samurai and Ninjitsu, etc., Wolvie is a brawler at heart. He wades into fights, delivers a pounding, and usually takes an even worse pounding in return. But that doesn't bother him because of his healing factor and the fact that he thinks he deserves the pain. I may be doing him a disservice. If his past can be believed, he probably is a LOT more skilled than this, but he doesn't use it.

btw- Silverthrone, I have to disagree with you on the fury part. If anything, Wolvie has substantially lesser skills while in a berserker rage. He's just more ready to receive damage and dish it out without compunction, not more skilled. There's a difference. Wolvie's a Barbarian, the rest are fighters, except for Batsy, who's a Rogue/Fighter (eschewing prestige classes and 4CTF for simplicity of analogy :) )
