Reach Spell of the Heirophant... worth it ?

Getting one level of Hierophant gives you a power that maybe the reach spell ability without any additional cost or level cast.

The problem is that one loses a level of spellcasting ability to get one level of hierophant. Is it worthwhile ?

Do people really use reach spell ? Or would I be throwing away one level os spellcasting ?

I found reach cure spells alone to be darn useful. I was allowed this ability as a feat, so I can't weigh it against spell level loss. In-combat buffs for others are a lot more feasible with it, too.

I suppose the bottom line is that it depends upon what kind of cleric you're playing. If you have a low-AC, focus on healing and buffing, and stay out of melee, it's likely to be worth it. If you're a tank cleric, it's not. YMMV.
