Here's a diagram of what squares such a character will threaten. T is threaten, X is where your mount threatens but you do not, and M is mount and mounted characters's shared spaces.

Thank you for the great diagram! One question: if I have armor spikes or spiked gauntlets, do I threaten the squares marked X just as my mount does?

If so, this is absolutely what I am doing. I will be a moving 30 foot square fountain of whup-ass.
