Hello, by day I'm a crazy  QC Chemist at a Biotech company testing raw materials, and by night and weekends I sell home electronics  . These are things like digital cameras, camcorders, speakers, HDTV's, plasmas etc.

PS. I have two gaming buddies who are lawyers.:)

Dave

School teacher/librarian (dual-classed ala 2nd Edition). I'm in my 8th year teaching at a middle school in southern Wisconsin.

I am a returns analyst for one of the countries largest book publishers (I try and figure out who sends books back to us , why and all that boring stuff). I also take care of some other minor yet vital stuff for our customers.

I have :

*Been in customer service (on the phone) for the same company I'm with now.(Hated it).

*Worked in a psuedo-Discovery Channel store that sold beany babies and rocks for many years. Best , funnest job ever.

*Worked in an indie bookstore (owned by the psuedo-discovery store) - Developed a really bad allergy to dust and got moved to their other shop.

*Been an exotic pet trainer (mostly small mammals like ferrets, hedgehogs etc.) This was fun. Although, for the first time in my life I now have a dog and I can safely say I had an easier time training some of the weirder creatures...

*Been a taxi dispatcher

*A Disney Store Employee (not as fun as you'd think; actually quite awful, and unfortunately I left (quit) on a bad note and can never work for Disney again...)

*Worked in various record stores (yay for vinyl! boo for bad hours :( )

*Spent 3 weeks doing telemarketing to try and sell people fully stocked meat freezers.

*Not sure if this counts , but when I was 17 I was "the picture" that came in the photo frames/brochures for a photo studio near my parents' house

And that's pretty much every job I've ever held over the last 13 years.

:)

I had friends in high school who made sport of destroying student teachers. Oh, "friends", who am I trying to kid? I did all the destroying.

I was a student teacher once. After 3 days of being hit on lewdly by 16 year old boys, I gave up on my HS teaching ideas and switched to psychology and sociology ; neither of which play any part in my current job. :D

I'm 3rd VP, Merchandising Manager, and part owner of a family business started by my grandfather; distributing Anheuser-Busch products in North Carolina. Considering rednecks will always want Budweiser, I'm not too worried, ;)

Senior Software Systems Engineer.

Specifically I seem to have accidentally specialized in picking up already deployed software systems in trouble and optimizing, fixing, and otherwise de-spaghetti-fying them.

At my last job for a small consulting company we didnt have any titles, so when asked what I wanted to put on my business card by the person ordering them, I had them put "Electronic Sanitation Engineer". When asked in airport bars what I did for a living, for the longest time I saved time boring people by just saying "I'm in waste management".

One advantage to travelling with this kind of job: I learned more about the production of process cheese than any sane man should have to know.

And a parting word of advice: Do NOT eat fat free cheese. It isnt food.

I'm a freshman at Tulane University. I plan to double major in Computer Science and Math with a minor in video game development. My dream job is programming video games.
Same, except I still havn't decided whether to go with the Math Major with or without the Statistics focus. My school certainly doesn't offer a minor in vdg development, though we have a "focus" (wtf does that mean anyway?) for people like me. I "probably" should have went to a more technical school. Same location as Gothmog.

I'm a management analyst for a big consulting firm in DC. Got my degrees in Political Science and History from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, and am plugging away at an MA in International Affairs from George Washington University at night. My main interest is Security/Intelligence, which is kinda what I do now. I'm working on the TWIC program for the TSA in DHS. If you know what all of those acronyms stand for, you're probably a government consultant, too.

Dream job? Novelist. Film/TV Writer. Mad Dictator. (not ranked by preference)

As a side note, until I was 17, all I wanted to be in life was a standup comedian. Yowzer.

Cool. I graduated from there (math major) back in 1986, after doing 4 years on an Air Force ROTC scholarship. Go Illini!
