Recruiting for Monster Madness (3.5)

You and your fellow adventurers belong to the huntsmen guild. The local area has a strange assortment of beasts, magical beings, and monsters. You make your living hunting strange creatures and keeping the populations low. As young members you take the lower ranked missions, you're currently on an escort mission. Archmage Halphon has been a client of the guild for some time, his requests are strange but he pays highly. He sometimes asks for live monsters but usually it's for something he calls blood stones. Blood stones are magical gems that capture the essence of living or recently slain creatures. He says he uses them for the study of how different spells effect different creatures. His latest request was for the essence of a very old dragon that recently took up residence in the area. Since it has been causing problems the guild accepted the request. Of the group dispatched only one member returned, heavily wounded. Your mission is to escort Alfred, one of the guilds keepers to the archmage's tower...

minor back ground info
guild jobs

Keeper- Keepers while held in high esteem are general servants/operators of the guild. Thou there is nothing general about them. They are knowledgeable in all aspects of the guild, it's past, and it's day to day running. The take requests from the community, find information, take care of wounded members, keep detailed lists of; equipment, merits, monster and so many more tasks.

Mark- Marks are probably the most courageous members of the guild. Their job is to draw bounties out from where they hide so the rest of the party can take advantage of terrain, pre-made traps or tactics.

Hunter- Hunters are the ones that track down bounties and lead their team mates to the kill.

Blade- Blades are the most numerous members in the guild. Blades are the ones who specialize in combat and magic to defeat bounties.

reveille- i don't see any real reason you can't, thou i don't see much point exept you would get hide in plain sight 4 level before a ranger would and survival as a class skill

walking dad - it really depends on what you want to use from it and how. i believe that it is not the source thats broken but how it is used. there is far worse things you could do with core if you tried

I am interested in this game myself.

Concept: An aspiring mistress of blades, gaining experience to bring her closer to mastery.

I am thinking of a Sword Sage (from Tome of Battle), later multiclassing as Invisible Blade (from Complete Warrior) or Kensai (also Complete Warrior).

There are two concepts I wanted to try with material from B9S:

A feral Raptoran (Races of the Wild) Tigerclaw specialist. - Hunter

or

wandering monk type, making heavy use of setting sun, mixed with some other techniques. Perhaps a small race. - Mark

i know this will sound strange to those who know me but i would prefer humanoid races for this. non humanoids would have a hard time gaining the guild's trust. thou i like raptorans, flight, even limited as they have at this level, would cause some problems. shifters should be fine, which trait would you be taking? those asking about book of the nine swords should also post what schools they'll be taking manuevers from

If no raptorans, would a 2nd shifter be fine?

trait beasthide or longstrider.
Disciplines: Tigerclaw, Ironheart (a little bit Stonedragon)
