"Iron Lords of Jupiter" is a "Space Romance" minigame, a la John Carter of Mars, that uses D20 Modern as a base.

If there's interest, I would like to run a PBP game here.

If you don't have the Polyhedron in question, you can just use D20 Modern to create an ordinary Earth Human who finds himself transported to the Giant Planet. I'm not using the starting sequence in the article, so you can make up pretty much any character you like.

Use 32 point buy, and don't bother buying equipment.

Edit: Question for Vax - If I decided to play a White Veth character, would the Telepath and/or Battle Mind advanced classes be made available later? Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be much reason for the White Veth to gain the Wild Talent feat.

Well, it would be very optimistic to assume that the game would run that long, given that you're the only person to sign up so far, but if it does, I don't see why not.

And Reaper, the Modern system isn't that much different from regular D20. Heck, I'm going to be running it using the SRD, at least at first. If it takes off, I'll go buy the whole book.

I'm definitely not an optimist. My wife says I'm a pessimist, but I'd call myself a realist who is also a dreamer, six of one, half a dozen of another. Plus now we've got Vorlon Space on board. Still not sure if I'm gonna play a White Veth or not, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

As for the SRD, I think that's all you'll need. If you have any specific questions, ask me cuz I've got the book. If you're still reading this, I think you should give it a go, reaper. Free rules, free game - what's not to love?
