Ok, so for now it seems preferences are for a new adventure, with the same characters. What does Garyh think?

Would you like to start from scratch or, say, second lvl? Do you have any wish in particular about the game? Would you like a more active role in the setting building? A particular kind of game you'd like to play?

I don't want to overwhelm you with questions, but since the first didn't really go well, I'd like to try and make the second one better suit your ideas.

I'm open to either playing Oak or creating a new character. I usually enjoy crafting concepts to fit holes in the party, so I can kinda feed off what others are planning to play and help the party be more effective.

I think starting at second level would be fun. I'm also pretty open to the type of game, so long as I know before making my character - avoiding making a talker in a dungeon crawl, or a simple brawler in a game of political intrigue, and the like.

Well, if the others keep their characters, we'd have a rogue, a fighter and a warlock. Though, you shouldn't feel forced to make a controller or a leader, play what you like; I'll try to adjust encounters so you aren't penalized for missing a role.

My preference is for a varied game, that offers different kinds of challenges. On the other hand, if you have preferences, I can bend it more on one side.

If you're open to supplemental material, I'd really like to make an eladrin tactical warlord using a greatspear (Adventurer's Vault superior weapon) and some of the options from Martial Power. He'd be a student of the war academy, full of tradition and eladrin pride. That'd be a fun character that would work well in combat with the group and provide plenty of ability to work outside of combat.

That's not a problem.

Any ideas in particular about the game you'd like to play, guys?

For example, let's take the Guild (the one being founded). While the original plot assumed your characters were the new (and some of the very first) recruits, and many events of the main plot did indeed revolve around the Fellows of the Path unknown, it is not necessary to start the game as members, or even that it has such a central role.

It is up to you: do you like it as a plot enabler, or would you prefer a more free structure?
You might want to reach an agreement and have your characters be a group persecuting a particular goal, or something similar, so you can start in a situation where your plot hooks are already in play.
Maybe you'd like to make some modifications to the pieces of setting I have posted, or add some?

In short, tell me your ideas of what this game should be.
