Actually it's not. At least, it's not that lively and active compared to how lively and active it was just a few years ago. And it was definitely being discussed on a wide variety of non-Paizo-owned message boards for PF1 for a very long time.

Pathfinder_2e Reddit is very lively but I think a lot of the community is just too entrenched in the insane amount of content to care for another system.

You might have been checking the Pathfinder Society sub, which I've never visited.

r/Pathfinder_RPG is the primary Pathfinder sub. It currently has 782 people online. I've never seen it as low as 57.
