Remnants of the Horde:The Return of Zuregath

Vespazian's Band...

'Zuregath's Loyal. Gathering,West,Great Ogre Captain D'rgo plans on taking Castle...seeks all allies of Great Z'regath.' the Gargoyle points away to the Wast and then bows, spreading it's wings and taking flight once more, flying off to the East.

Tsu'koka can't help but grin. Fortune, it seems, favours those too stupid to be afraid. You can't help but like the ogre.

"Sroka. I'll ride out front with the scouts to ensure the way is clear. Bring the troops up as fast as possible."

ooc: Assuming that there are any scouts. If not, he'll take some who are mounted or can keep up, if there are any, which I think that there aren't. If so, he'll go alone.

Sorry about the absence - been working to put together a game I didn't intend to start. A half backed idea, not enough sleep and too much coffee are to blame.

Vespazian wasn't startled by the wing-ed creature's sudden presence. He walked up to the gargoyle. Gargoyle, I am Vespazian, Zuregath's chosen Captain. I need no notice of troop gatherings from you. You will scout ahead for me now. He backhanded the creature for added effect. Carry that banner in the name of our king and find a safe path for us to the castle sewers. He noted the growing amount of troops behind him. He also finally acknowledged the giant. Looking up at the huge man, he remebered his words.
'It is going to take a lot more troops than this to retake the Castle, Captain...'
Giant, what is your name? Vespazian didn't wait for the answer. We dont need troops. I intend to seek a way inside the castle without resorting to brute force. Numbers won't help us in this venture, we just need to reach our destination in one piece. The rest will be simple. From your lofty stance, make sure no threats catch us unawares.

Vespazian then moved to the head of the group and headed off once more toward his destination.

Wekerak rides forward to scout, waiting until the terrain oscures him from the main body of Vespazian's forces. Then he turns to Tsu'koka,

"The human is a fool. Ride with him and try to save him if you must, but I go where feasting will be good."

Without waiting for a reply, the goblin wheels Frostbite and spurs him westward, seeking Durgo's forces.

OOC: sorry about not posting recently...just busy...

Forlash flys back from the battle scenes, unable to find a quick way in his mind trying to deal with the chaos of the battle going on at the castle. I just know the ogres will want to take this castle for their king...hope he can be brought back, could have a good amount of power for me....if not maybe there will be something in this for me anyway...
He sees the huge ogre captain gathering troops and deceides that may be the best way to go. Landing near Durgo, He quickly relates the scene of battles he had seen while on the wing.

"Corporal!" Tsu'koka barks.

Tsu'koka wheels Blood around to place him across the goblins path.

"I ride to Durgo, and will bring the Hobgoblins with me. You will scout the way for them so they can move quickly.

"Will you?" he ammends. Tsu'koka hates pulling rank. He has no desire to be another petty tyrant. Not with good soldiers like Wekerak.

Assuming Wekerak agrees, Tsu'koka turns to Sroka.

"You heard Vespazian, he has no need to of us. So lets move!"

Once Sroka has the hobgoblins marching, Tsukoka will join up with up with Werkerak in scouting out front.

The Gargoyle stands impassively as Vespazian hauls back and strikes it <5 HP subdual,DR 10/magic, no effect, other than to bloody Vespazian's knuckles.

Launching skywards, showering Vespazian with ash, the Gargoyle grins, licking Vespazian's blood from it's stony face with a long black tongue and says in a deferrential tone dripping with sarcasm ' Captain D'rgo waits to the West...' With a falpping of wings, the thing flies off.

The Giant looked down and said curtly 'I am Rangol.I will keep vigilance, as I always have.'

Wekerak snorts, then shrugs.

"Hobgoblins good troops. You bring them, I scout."

With that, Frostbite moves westward at a slower rate, giving time for Tsu'koka and the others to keep the scout in sight.

Durgo starts at the appearance of the hag-born. He had tried to forget about the creature's treacherous mojo, but was now pleasantly surprised to see Forlash. He leans down slightly to listen to the short creature and nods finally when the report was complete. The Muragar didn't quite understand all of it, but thinks he picked out the important parts.

Durgo calls Nilgo, Krong, and Kurg over to discuss. Then he sees Bargo,

"Bargo! Stop chasing orc! Sit down!"

He turns his attention at last to the four before him (Forlash included),

"No getting dis many into Ash Vents," he says, his arm sweeping to indicate their gathered numbers, "and soon more come. Gobbies making straps to carry soldiers. Durgo want Nilgo to choose small force. Forlash and gobbie scout go too," where was that scout? He was good... "Bring all gargs and mephits too. Land on wall and make way to Gatehouse. Krong stay outside and keep discipline until dem Gates open. If hoo-man comes back, tell him's to wait. When time comes, Krong and Duffo lead charge into Castle.

"Durgo pick some's to go wif him to Ash Vents. Bargo, Kurg, dem Fire Giants maybe. If uders come back, maybe more. But we no wait long. Zuregath losing castle fast. Need to find shay-man big-big soon."

Bargo grins and drops the orc. He was only joking about biting his head off.. Mostly.

Heading over expecting to hear that it's time to march he watchs as the goblins start doing artsy craftsy stuff and groans as Durgo announces yet more waiting.

"Durgo scared of taking castle? Why Durgo keep waiting for more troops? After Bargo cut enemies in half, they run and we eat in castle. Waiting boring."
