The original Renaissance Faire of the Midlands is celebrating its 22nd year at its new location – Westfair Fairgrounds in Council Bluffs! Come join the magic and the melee and leave the cares of the modern world behind!
Enter the kingdom gates and be transported to another place back in time – a place where knights on horseback clash in the joust, medieval performers make merry with song and dance and a 16th-century artisan market offers one-of-a-kind wares.
Featuring six stages, the Faire offers continuous entertainment, including comedians, skits, singing, dancing, and live animal demonstrations. For those seeking a little more adventure, the nation’s premiere jousting troupe – New Riders of the Golden Age – will clash in the Royal Joust several times during the weekend.
The Faire even has a special area for the youngest lads and lasses of the kingdom – The Wee Folkes Glen! Where the young and young-at-heart will discover 16th-century inspired games, rides and hands-on activities!
The Faire’s popular Artisans Market features a wide variety of gifts and services from the every day to the exotic. Many vendors offer live demonstrations of their age-old crafts such as pottery and jewelry making.
