Rename Thievery to Roguery

I'd rather rename the rogue to thief.

Simpler: change the skills to "Pick 6" instead of "Stealth + Thievery + Pick 4". Now your rogue is a thief only if you want him to be, and you can also choose to be an honest rogue if you'd like.

Oh, sure, many can spell "dexterity" but many effed up "rogue." :\

The way I see it, if you can't spell it, don't play it.

So that's why I've never seen anyone play a thaumaturgist!

I'm okay with Thievery, although I have to admit I'd probably like Skulduggery better.

Except Skulduggery is related to verbal deception so it would be better used for Bluff.

Thievery could become Legerdemain (which is slight of hand) but then we get the terror of watching people massacre it orally and in writing.

Stealth could become Clandestineness, Acrobatics becomes Gymnastics, Athletics becomes Calisthenics, Dungeoneering becomes Spelunking, Insight becomes Prognostication...

or we could go with the brief and more commonly understood names.

I like "thievery."

"Roguery" implies to me a Don Giovanni type character, running around sleeping with chicks and then ditching them. Not necessarily a bad skill to develop in your character, but not what they were going for I think.

Hey, Indiana Jones was a (mostly) honest guy, and he had his Thievery trained up the wazoo. (I'm thinking that Thievery incorporates trapfinding, Disable Device, etc. as well as Pickpocket and such.)
