Request for some Ideas (my players please avoid)

Damn, I was hoping for an excuse to correct some typos. :)

The assassins are the Hrdad, the yugoloth hunters going after the party. Xetich the half-machine mezzoloth was supposed to be one of the three. But at CR 23, she might be too weak for the party now, since I believe it was set that there's only 3 hunters in total. And I don't think we ever figured out the other two.

Heh. No, I don't think they'll be necessary. The party ignored them for too long, and events have taken their course. Suffice it to say that the party should have stuck around for a couple more days before galivanting off to the Tomb. Hell has, quite literally, broken loose.

Interesting. Care to elaborate on what they'll face, or do you want to leave it as a surprise. Also, it's been so long since the Hrdad were introduced; what was their purpose again?

Damn, does that mean they won't fight Xetich after all? I really enjoyed making her. What about the crazy horses or teleport-jumping fey?

Heh. You'll have to wait and see. All these guys are part of the 'on-deck' teams. At this level, it's hard to tell which way the PCs will jump, so I need to have stats ready ahead of time. The PCs don't know what the Hrdad are up to, though they suspect they were sent to get them. The presence of three super-powerful yugoloths on the Prime, however, couldn't possibly be anything good, so it got put on 'the list'.

However, they're not the only ones working a list. As you'll see.

Oh, my poor widdle doomed Hihoca. Could you elaborate a bit on the fight using them? Did you make any major changes to them, or did you take the Hihoca enforcers directly? Will they be appearing in any future adventures? I'd like to see them engage the party in their natural environment. The fun of baddies who can bampf 100 miles away in between attacks is watching the party try keep track of them after they bampf 100 miles away. :)

On the other hand, if that was Xetich in the vision, it was a very nice introduction! I hope she lives up to the party's expectations, assuming they're high of course.

Would it be possible to know more about the new thingies introduced at the meeting? In particular, I was curious about the new adventuring party, the Owl's companion, and the "plain looking" man. The phrase "plain lookin man" in my campaign usually translates into "ancient technological relic from a highly advanced lost civilization that look humanoid but is actually a construct made up of shapeshifting nanomachines." I'm guessing your version is different! But let me know if you want the stats for the nano-guy, anyway.

The 'new' adventuring party is actually the old adventuring party. :) Specifically, they're a well-meant parody of Wulf Ratbane's group from his story hour.

The Owl's companion was a representative of the Crystal Emissary, though no one in the party actually asked (it was assumed, correctly in this case). It is a construct, not a living being, to be used as a remote viewing device, essentially. The Owl helped create it. I hadn't worked out any stats for it, but it'd be the equivalent of a medium sized stone-golem in humanoid form with DR 10/Onyx Vitaesis.

Which plain-looking man were you referring to...Jonathan's emissary? He was what he appeared to be: a level 1 warrior with attitude problems. ;) Many high powered beings won't risk sending powerful emissaries...they might get killed.

Hah! That makes the "Spot 58" check in the main thread funnier! What does the party think of him? Did they draw the same general conclusion I did? Or are they pretty certain he's a red herring? If the former, you could have some fun with this if and when they ever decide to attack Johnathan.

It sounds like the next adventure's a big one, and not just for me personally. Have you gotten everything you need for this? Or would more suggestions be helpful?

No, I think I'm set for it. This is a battle whose elements have been building for a while. Believe me, they accepted him as exactly what he was - they aren't concerned about the Burning Skin...they've merely decided not to Kill Him Right Now. We joked: "Hey, you got 5 minutes?....[cut scene to the Valley of the Mage, a ruined burning wasteland still on fire]..OK, now what were we doing?"

It wouldn't be really that easy, but it wouldn't be that hard, either. They're 25th level characters now...they're just shy of demi-gods. Or, in one case, not shy at all. ;)

Okay, now I'm curious to know how that adventure played out. What were the infected people the party attacked? Were there any other "regular" enemies, or just the Silverring and Zinkman? And how did the party combine their powers? Was there actual rules for that, or was it just role-played out?

I have to admit I was hoping to see the Consumers and Hive Birds as minions after hearing about the Far Realm and bug connections. What do you have planned from here on? Anything else you need or things you want to let me know about?

Hi Wizardru,

That was a fantastic session! I am so happy because you used Zinkman in all his insane glory.

I was wondering if you still have your maps and notes from the dungeon that had the Worn that Walks? I'd quite like to run my group through something similar.
