Resident Evil:The Movie

Can someone verify?

Someone said its a bunch of scientists who use a supercomputer to spread the virus and has nothing to actually do with the games.

True or false?

Unfortunately

Yep, I remember reading that. They fired Romero for not following the game close enough, then they hire the current guy who changed it from a virus like the flu to a computer virus.

What the hell is that!?

Its "REEEESSIIIIIDENT EVIIIIIIL" *Deep manly voice*

Not "Risidint evil" *High pitched female voice*

What the hell is that!?

Technically, Queen of the Damned is a sort of sequal to Inview with the Vampire. They skipped Vampire Lestat for some reason, which is kind of weird since Vampire Lestat was her first big hit.

Interview with the Vampire was a hit long before Anne Rice published her first sequel, The Vampire Lestat. I think TVL was a much bigger hit (in a commercial sense), but IwtV is what put Anne Rice on the map.

And I'm betting they skipped TVL because it's really just backstory for QotD. Or, to put it another way, when I read these two books, it seemed to me that QotD was just the final chapter (climax and denouement) of TVL. It definitely had the feel of "one book split in twain" to me, but I have no idea if that's how AR wrote it.

I think that "Resident Evil" and "Queen of the Damned" easily have what it takes to be the two worst movies of the year, if the trailers are anything to judge by.

I mean, my God... how sad is having a movie in which you apparently spend most of the time writhing around on the screen in a skimpy outfit and speaking in a really bad put-on voice the last thing a lot of people will remember you for? Kind of like Street Fighter being Raul Julia's last movie. Except that Raul Julia actually could act... Not sure if that makes it better or worse.

As for "Resident Evil" - I think Michelle Rodriguez looks extremely cute when scowling ;), but I really don't think that's going to be quite enough to carry the film. And there is absolutely no chance of me being able to buy Mila Jovovich as a an action hero - too damn sickly and anorexic looking....

Guess you didn't see/like The 5th Element. She kicked butt there and it looks like she can here too.

Umm, in the Fifth Element, she pulled a Bruce Lee "come and get me" move, promptly got her butt kicked, and spent a large part of the last half hour or so of the picture like a damp washrag, being carried around by Bruce Willis.

That movie is on my list as one of the worst films I've ever seen.

I am just glad a video game movie is finally rated R.

Personally I can't wait for this...I have read every book and beat every game...how they make a compelling story everytime I have no idea.
