Return of the Slavelords Part 3 “the Siege of Bright Tower”

"Meeb don´t wan ter scrap da biguns, they´re too big fer us. But they gotsa ram, dat means they´ll 'ed fer da fort while da uvver achinz remain 'ere. As fer werr ter start, meeb´d say jus' far from da wunz wif da 'eadbanger fire. If dem are da stunties´ achinz, den gud."

Norbac thinks for a second.

"Cud ya turn invisibul or sumthing an toss sum more 'eadbanger fire at da bigun´s achine? Weeb cud du dat: As soon da marm achnz ya rigged start burnin', ya turn invisibul an toss more fie at da bigun´s ram, den cumz wif us as fast as ya kan. Braggi an meeb wait sixty 'eartbeats since weeb see da scrap an stomp da stunties. Ow does dat sound?"

"I can indeed use invisibility, but as soon as I start to toss the fire, I will be visible. However, I can also cast a spell to make me run really fast. So I could do that, then toss the fire and then run."

ooc: actually, the spell says that it "...ends if the subject attacks any creature." Unless the ram is a construct, you can toss as many alchemist fires you want at it and remain invisible.

Braggi's eyes grow larger at the prospects of finally getting into battle. He grips his waraxe tighter in excitement. He eyes the dwarves careful not to seem too interested but inside he was seething. He wanted to teach them the error of their ways. "Giants or dwarves, makes no difference to me," Braggi says, although he literally spits in hatred when he mentions dwarves. "The dwarves do seem to have had quite a bit to drink though so maybe..." He trails off, waiting for his companions to decide on a definite course of action.

AT THE WEREBEAR CAMP

A large, weather beaten, and imposing man walks up to the group talking with Rulf. He carries a huge warhammer, ready in his hands. His gear, mostly dark greens and browns, is well worn, but in excellent condition, and clearly he dresses for comfort and action, not for appearance.

"Rulf, I am glad to be joining you." Turning to the other people present he says "I am Malachite Shalesen of the Hammer Strike, please call me Mal." Offering his hand to each, he continues "Have you come up with a plan of attack?"

Fiona

“Well met, Mal. I'm Fiona and I accompany this 'little' group together with my companion Kooga.” The elf points to the rather big ape lurking nearby, a slight grin showing on her fine-featured face. “We believe, that another group, which is deeper inside the enemy territory, is going to attack their warmachines and we are discussing how to support their mission from here. Right now we are looking into attacking the goblin warg-riders, to weaken their defenses and as a distraction for the other group.”

"Good to meet you." Mal smiles. "Warmachines, hunh? Well you guys know what's going on around here best, but I should point out that Thumper here would make quick work of warmachines."

Kimble looks around and seems surprised to see a newcomer. He had been so deep in thought that he hadn't even heard any of the conversations. Kimble turns his attention to Mal. "Greetings, I am Kimble. And you are? I am guessing that you've come to help against this force that threatens the tower? Once you've had a chance to survey the scene, I would be curious to hear your thoughts on how we should proceed. I have my own ideas, but I fear that my hatred of those ogres might be clouding my judgement."

"Good to meet you Kimble. I am Malachite Shalesen, but please call me Mal. I havent had a chance to really examine the enemy, so I will defer to your plans. I did think I should point out the effect Thumper would have on seige engines, though."
